Community
The Institute exists because of the people who sing, teach, organize, contribute or simply turn up wanting to get to know Sweden.

Swedish-Chilean families
For many families, Swedish is a grandparent’s language or part of the family story, and children find it hard to keep up. If that sounds familiar, tell us: it helps us understand which activities are needed.

A shared history
After the 1973 coup, thousands of Chileans found refuge in Sweden. Many stayed; others returned with children who grew up between two languages. That history is part of today’s Chilean-Swedish community too.
