Things to do in Uppsala
Uppsala Cathedral
Uppsala domkyrka is about 118.7 metres tall and the largest church in Scandinavia. It was inaugurated in 1435 and can be seen from almost anywhere in the centre.
Gamla Uppsala mounds
About 5 km north of the centre lie the great burial mounds of pre-Christian kings. It is the outing that shows you how old this place really is.
Gustavianum
The university's old main building, from 1625, houses a 17th-century anatomical theatre. Today it is a museum.
Linnaeus Garden
Linnéträdgården, right in the centre, is open to the public from May to September. The Botanic Garden sits next to the castle.
